Structure tasks by priority and time slots
Willie Bruckelmyer
I suggest a feature that allows structuring tasks by priority and assigning specific time slots, such as task 1 from 7-9am, task 2 from 9-12pm, and task 3 from 12-3:30pm. This would help in organizing the workflow and ensuring tasks are completed in the correct order.

Prioritization of Tasks that Occur on Same Day

First off, I really appreciate the new “Re-ordering by Start Date” feature recently added…
But I’m hoping someone can work on having some sort of rational prioritization rules put in place, for tasks that are moved after the re-ordering..
However you want to do it is fine, but just leaving a single day’s Task Order to randomness is not good...
You can add a "Time of Day" column, or make it alphabetical, or numerical..
For example, the thing I do at 1:30pm each day, should ALWAYS come before the thing I do at 10pm that evening.. Another example would be, if I move three tasks to the same day, my #1 tasks should always be listed before my #4 tasks, and my #4 tasks always come before my #8 tasks, right?
And that's not at all how it works now... It’s seemingly complete randomness..

Thanks for the detailed examples. Reorder Tasks by Start Date currently sorts by start date, but it doesn’t offer a secondary rule for tasks that share the same date. We’ve captured your request for deterministic time-, number-, or priority-based ordering: https://support.teamgantt.com/article/178-reorder-tasks-by-start-date/
